Case Study: Real Living Nutrition

Discovery

Real Living Nutrition is another great concept that focused on providing convenient, personalized weight-control coaching with true Registered Dietitians through a web application. In researching, we discovered there were other programs that had some of the characteristics, but none had the full value that Real Living Nutrition offered.

Plan

The corporate styling had just been set when we were asked to leverage it into a solid business. Real Living Nutrition still needed to continue to build their online system and promotional collateral.

Design

Working with programmers from Badams Consulting, we contributed to the site's User-Interface while maintaining the integrity of the corporate identity. In addition, a simple newsletter was created to allow Real Living Nutrition to self-administer the newsletter distribution. Promotional posters and brochures were developed to promote the service at medical clinics and gyms. The flagship service Real Living Nutrition provided, the BALANCE Program, required its own logo based on the corporate version.

Production

When we began to work with Real Living Nutrition, many of the pages on the site were working (from a programming standpoint), but needed to be modified to better communicate the data. The printed marketing material was prepared for various printing methods for output on both the east and west coast. To save costs, small-run printing was managed locally where the material was to be used. Images for online newsletters were made in batches for 18 months in advance to reduce frequent small requests.

Review

In this very competitive industry, there has been several modifications and changes to almost every design-related channel including web page layout, brochure design and banner advertising. We continued to manage these updates and keep Real Living Nutrition abreast of the market.
